Shauna and Al on the Freedom Trail in front of Benjamin Franklin Statue and Park.

Al looking at Charlestown Bridge History on the Freedom Trail.

Al in front of Ventura, a twenty five foot Wianno Senior. This boat was given to JFK for his 15th Birthday and he taught Jacqueline to sail on it. Al raced against this boat when he was 8 years old. This was Al’s very first sailboat race. He was with his Uncle Chad and friends on Varuna and the race took place at Martha’s Vinyard. This sparked Al’s love of sailing and racing!
This is just soooooooo cool!!!

We saw you from our living room window when you came in on the Valley Field run. Last year we commented here and bid you a safe voyage via VHF when you departed. We thought that you most likely would again anchor in or near “Safe Harbor”. Next day when we were at the wharf, Cynthia ( Harbor Master ) said that you had departed from the wharf that morning. We would have loved to meet you in person but our assumption that you would be anchoring as you did last year caused us to miss the chance. Perhaps if you are ever back this way we will have another chance. Same crew this year?

We are sorry we missed you. We had our radio on and were wondering whether you would hail us again. We had picked up a couple biking in NF (they live in Boston) and carried them and their bikes from Bona Vista to the wharf. They had planned to go to Musgrave but they had to change plans based on the wildfires. We may be back in Catalina early September, and if so, will reach out. Newfoundland is beautiful with lots to see and wonderful people to meet, Shauna and Al
