We had an epic time in AK this summer, here is a rewind in photos to give you an idea of all the fun we had. Welp, here we go!
A beautiful arch in the Alaskan gulf. Talia and Savai on watch. Graeme with a nice silver salmon. I will never get tired of this view. Talia soaking in the view. Mt. Fairweather. On DOGBARK there always seems to be a hammock up. Debonair leaving Yakutat. A long walk to get groceries in Yakutat. A hike to a beautiful Glacier. Ice in a lake. Ice is surprisingly heavy! A very fun hike in Yakutat. A very textured rock. Sea otters are evrywhere. Pepita (s/v deboinar’s sailing dingy) is a common afternoon activity. Our dear friends Eli and Amy and their son, Solomon came to visit and crew. Onesies are perfect for Alaska. DOGBARK! in Garden Cove. A nice catch of halibut! Salmonberries and blueberries are a lovely treat. Garden Cove has lots of beautiful wildlife and rocks. We swam on a warm day in a protected cove where the water heated up and was quite pleasant. Silly kids. BOOTS A nice silver salmon! Oh my gosh. Mountains in the Gulf. A quick trip ashore is always appreciated. Arlo, from s/v Debonair, had a birthday. Graeme’s only yelloweye for the season. DOGBARK’s haulout before her summer in AK. A dingy ride ashore. DOGBARK as she left Port Townsend, bound for Alaska. The crew that sailed up with DOGBARK! to Alaska. DOGBARK! pushing off. Our dog, Rainie didn’t make the trip and missed us very much. Another camping trip! Meet Thor, a golden retriever who lives on a fishing boat in Valdez. Dock walks are always interesting. Our kinda sign. An AMAZING waterfall just outside Valdez.

On Lake Washington in Seattle.??
What an awesome summer you have had so far. Seems like the only thing we have seen is our backyard with a view of pretty Lake Louise in Lakewood, wa. Due to Corona, we have gone nowhere, and seen no one. Hate to think that this might be our behavior for the foreseeable future but as older, susceptible folks, we need to follow the rules. Continue to look with wonder at everything around you, be safe and healthy.
